| With a career solidly based in broadcasting, Bob’s background could best be described as diverse and extensive. For seven years he served as Director of Operations and Programming of America’s highest billing Country combo, KZLA/KLAC in Los Angeles. At KZLA/KLAC, Bob was responsible for all aspects of day-to-day operations, programming, research, and marketing each separately programmed station. Some of his most noteworthy accomplishments at KZLA/KLAC include helping to create the "Discover Country Music" television campaign, which became the marketing campaign for many successful Country stations across America. Bob spearheaded "Country Fest" and "Country Scene," Los Angeles’s first major outdoor festivals, attended by three quarters of a million Country music fans over two years. Bob received five nominations from either Billboard or Gavin Magazines as the Operations-Program Director of the Year. He won the coveted Gavin award in 1987. He served as the Country Radio Seminar Agenda Chairman in 1993, and on the CRS Board of Directors. While still at KZLA/KLAC, Bob helped develop, write, produce and serve as a voice talent for major syndication companies such as, The Entertainment Radio Network and The Premiere Radio Networks. After leaving KZLA/KLAC Bob helped CBS Radio launch "The Arrow" in Los Angeles. The former Oldies station jumped from 20th in the market to number two in just two ratings books. Bob served as a consultant to the Program Director and worked as the Afternoon Drive air talent. When he left "The Arrow" in 1994 he was the number one rated personality in the 25-54 demographic in the market. Bob is currently the Director of Broadcasting for the Emerald Entertainment Group in Nashville, TN. His consulting clients have included; KRST-FM in Albuquerque, NM, Commonwealth Communications, The Entertainment Radio Networks, Click Radio, Marathon Media, KSQY-FM/KIQK-FM in Rapid City, SD, and Western Montana Radio Network. Bob is also the host, producer, and writer of the nationally syndicated Country radio show, New Music Nashville, which is heard on over 320 radio stations across the U.S.. He has also written, voiced, and produced many radio specials for artists such as, Garth Brooks, the Dixie Chicks, and Montgomery Gentry.
